oh, it's still winter.

i'm still fully annoyed at this fact. my weekend was boring, mostly due to the big ole snowstorm we had. i decided to stay home and do nothing. like i always do. i got a case of the cabin fever on sunday, though. so i made my way to the lincoln park conservatory because i've heard good things. and it's free. and i figured it being easter - it'd be empty.

no, it was crowded, but that didn't matter. i stayed for over an hour, taking in all the green and purple and pink and yellow. and! the zoo is right next door. and! both are free. that was seriously the best unplanned day of shenanigans i've had in a while. i fully recommend anyone in the area go. it's amazing, and will force you to love life. also, polar bears.

today, though, is a pretty awful day. but orchids sure are pretty...
